Micah dying removed any motivation I had for painting for quite a long time. I am still trying to finish this triangle based idea, but it’s gone on so long it’s getting quite painful. Some of the colors I mixed are drying out, they’re almost 6 months old and in not entirely, it turns out, airtight containers.

I want to finish it out of bloody mindedness, not any enthusiasm that it will be any good.

I still think it will point me in a better direction, once I can see the finished thing. That’s exactly all the motivation I have for this. Such is life.

My studio mate says “people will probably like it even though I can see why you don’t”.
