Wave study
My last color study gave me an idea of how to slightly change the pattern of triangles, and this time, as I’m already happy with the colors, I decided to just do a black and white sketch to see if it works:
Like the color test, it’s a the smallest fragment of the wave that I could do to get a sense of it working or not. There are a couple of little alterations I’ll make when I paint this, but more or less I think it’s ok.
I will have to mix two more variations of the original color palette, which will mean 36 shades for the whole painting. The final pattern will continue a bit over double the length of this, and in ten rows, if I’ve counted right, which I sometimes don’t.
