Rhythm
Painting
The painting is underway. As always with a new idea I tiptoed into it, but have now found my rhythm with the work.
There are 12 rows to paint, each one takes about 5 hours. So that’s how long it’ll take to finish.
Actually not as bad as I’d thought, though if there’s a lot of rain it’ll slow me down (paint dries slower, even indoors).
2000s style resolution as that’s a heavily cropped image.
I still can’t quite see how this is going to go. I think not as bad as I’d feared, but it will probably suggest improvements for the next painting. So far I’m happy with the colors… but it’s going to be quite a colorful thing and even though that’s what it’s supposed to be, it’s quite an unusual feeling. Part of me wants to go back to the comforting world of monochrome. Maybe that can be my own reward for finishing this one!
Music
Last week I saw Stephen Vitiello, Brendan Canty and Hahn Rowe in concert, and I really enjoyed it. Their record is great too:
I probably already mentioned it, but whatever!
